It allows utility companies to evaluate and formalize priorities on a per-project basis (balancing safety concerns, customer service, public relations, relations with government regulatory agencies, etc).

Based on the input criteria, this scoring tool serves as a project optimizer. Given a finite budget, the tool helps utility companies determine what projects should take precedence and how to allocate resources to best advantage.

It takes the emotion out of politically- and financially-charged scenarios. The utility companies can make the most rational decision while also clearly documenting the evaluation and decision-making process.
